There is a growing commercial industry worldwide for human eggs, for both reproductive purposes and medical research. Is this global industry ethically and politically unjust, as many claim is true of commercial reproductive surrogacy? Or is it – or could it be made to be – a morally acceptable enterprise? This talk maps out some of the issues relevant to this question, especially from the vantage point of global justice.
